Lead generation in affiliate marketing is a type of performance-based marketing in which a business rewards one or more affiliates for each visitor or customer brought by the affiliate's own marketing efforts. In other words, it is a way for businesses to generate leads from outside sources instead of relying solely on their own marketing campaigns.For example, an online retailer could offer a commission to an affiliate website for any visitor or customer brought to their website by the affiliate's marketing efforts. The affiliate website would then post a link to the online retailer's website and earn a commission for each sale made as a result of the link.In this scenario, the affiliate website would be responsible for generating leads for the online retailer. They would be responsible for finding customers and driving them to the retailer's website, where they could make a purchase. This type of marketing allows businesses to increase their customer base and generate more sales without having to spend money on their own marketing campaigns.
