Banner ad
A banner ad is a type of advertisement that appears in the form of a graphic image, usually a static image or an animated GIF, that is used to promote a product, service, or company. Banner ads are placed on websites, as well as in emails, social media posts, and other digital platforms. Banner ads are often used in affiliate marketing, where a website or business will pay an affiliate partner to display their banner ad on their website, in their emails, or in their social media posts. In return, the affiliate partner will receive a commission for each click or sale that the banner ad generates. For example, if a website has an affiliate program, they might partner with a blogger or YouTuber who specializes in fashion or beauty products. The website could then ask the affiliate partner to display their banner ad for a specific product on their blog or YouTube channel. If any of the viewers click on the banner ad and purchase the product, the affiliate partner will receive a commission from the website.
